MILOSEVIC: RUSSIA, DEPUTATI SINISTRA
CHIEDONO LIBERAZIONE

(ANSA) - MOSCA, 29 OTT - Un gruppo di 17
deputati russi di sinistra, guidati dal
presidente del gruppo comunista alla Duma
Ghennady Ziuganov, hanno chiesto oggi la
liberazione dell'ex presidente jugoslavo
Slobodan Milosevic definendo ''illegale'' la
sua detenzione in Olanda. In una lettera al
premier olandese Wim Kok, i firmatari, fra
cui il capo della commissione parlamentare
per la ricostruzione in Jugoslavia Nikolay
Ryzhkov, sostengono che Milosevic ''e'
trattenuto illegalmente in territorio
olandese''. Nella lettera, citata
dall'agenzia Interfax, i parlamentari
affermano inoltre che ''le circostanze del
trasferimento forzato di Milosevic da
Belgrado all'Aja (per essere giudicato dal
tribunale internazionale) viene da noi
considerato come un crimine''. (ANSA) GEL

Partito Socialista Serbo Slobodan Milosevich.
Stessa sorte attende i
neo-pretendenti alla supremazia mondiale, i loro
piani non sono destinati a realizzarsi. Quando
gli americani bombardavano la Jugoslavia,
implicitamente bombardavano l'Europa e
compromettevano l'Euro.

IN SECOND APPEARANCE AT THE HAGUE:

MILOSEVIC CHALLENGES NATO'S COURT

By John Catalinotto

Slobodan Milosevic turned his second court
appearance on Aug. 30 into a direct political and
legal challenge to the authority of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the Former
Yugoslavia (ICTY). The anti-imperialist movement
considers this tribunal NATO's court in The
Hague.

The motions he presented not only raise a legal
challenge to the legitimacy of the ICTY but they
expose the criminal actions of NATO and also of
the U.S. government in destabilizing and then
waging war on the peoples of Yugoslavia,
especially in the republic of Serbia.

In the short statement to the public that the
judges allowed, Milosevic exposed the unfavorable
conditions the tribunal has imposed on him. These
include preventing private consultations with
attorneys who are advising him, recording his
conversations with his family, including his
two-year-old grandson, and keeping him isolated
from the media.

The court, as if to underline its own
illegitimacy and its bias against the accused,
refused to allow President Milosevic to read his
challenge before the public. This made it even
easier for the pro-NATO media to continue to
repeat all the anti-Milosevic and anti-Serb lies
that they had spread over the past 10 years.

"Why am I isolated from the press?" he asked.
"Each day, they print lies about me, and I can't
respond. If the journalists want to know the
truth, no one has any reason to be afraid of the
truth. You are not a tribunal, you are a
political tool."

Just as in early July at his first court
appearance, the presiding judge pushed a button
that turned off Milosevic's microphone at this
point.

The ICTY was originally set up by U.S. initiative
in May 1993 under the auspices of the United
Nations Security Council. Funds from NATO
countries and from private sources provide its
financial underpinning. Its targets are solely
those who reside in the former Yugoslavia, the
great majority of them Serbs.

Under pressure from NATO during its 79-day
bombing assault on Yugoslavia, the ICTY brought
the original charges against President Milosevic.
At that time--in May 1999--he was leading the
Yugoslav resistance to NATO's invasion of and
bombing of Yugoslavia.

In the court Aug. 30, the current chief
prosecutor of the ICTY, Carla del Ponte, asked
for an additional two months to prepare the case
against Milosevic.

The Yugoslav leader noted ironically that "two
and a half years after having falsely accused me,
you're still not ready."

Belgian journalist and Balkans expert Michel
Collon noted that the public is completely
separated from the judges by a wall of glass.
"The three judges in their red robes, the six
prosecutors in black and their clerks seem to
float by as if in an aquarium. It was toward the
public that Milosevic most often looked, wearing
a dark suit, a blue, white and red tie- -the
colors of his country's flag--and with a firm
expression on his face that otherwise seemed
fatigued by the conditions of his detention:
camera surveillance, no privacy, lights on 24
hours a day in his small cell."

Reports from Belgrade agree that by standing up
to NATO and its court, Milosevic and his
Socialist Party of Serbia are steadily gaining
stature with the Serbian population. This is
especially true as conditions of life deteriorate
under the pro-West regime.

MILOSEVIC'S DEFENSE

President Milosevic has announced that he will
defend himself, which seems to have aroused the
anger of the court as well as the barbs of the
media. But he has the right, in preparing his
defense, to seek legal counsel, which has been
offered by many progressive attorneys from
different countries as well as from Yugoslavia.

Ramsey Clark, former U.S. attorney general and an
expert in international law, was the first
attorney to win from the ICTY the right to hold
more than a fleeting meeting with the former
Yugoslav president.

In three successive days in July, Clark and
Milosevic discussed motions that could challenge
the ICTY's legitimacy. As a result of work
arising from these discussions, President
Milosevic was able to prepare motions to submit
to the ICTY, which he did on Aug. 30.

It was these motions that the judge refused to
allow Milosevic to read to the court and the
public. In the concluding section of the
5,200-word document, published by the Socialist
Party of Serbia and distributed via the Internet,
Milosevic said:

"The United States engaged in a decade-long
effort, aided by several European countries, to
break up and destroy the Federal Republic of
Yugoslavia, causing the secession (remember the
American Civil War) of German-oriented Slovenia
and Croatia with 500,000 Serbs purged from its
borders. Then Bosnia was pried away from the
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and segregated
into an unnatural three region religious
apartheid, Muslim, Roman Catholic and Eastern
Orthodox Christian.

"Now Macedonia is in turmoil, nearing civil war
from U.S.- stimulated and supported terrorist
organization KLA [Kosovo Liberation Army]
aggression. Thus Yugoslavia became former, losing
half of its population and wealth and leaving
only Serbia and Montenegro. Kosovo and Metohia,
an historically precious part of Serbia, remains
occupied by NATO forces after 79 days of aerial
bombardment in 1999.

"U.S.-led aerial assaults inflicted billions in
damages on civilian facilities, killed thousands
of civilians throughout Serbia in the name of
NATO. Thereafter the United States and NATO
watched as 330,000 Serbs were forced out of
Kosovo and Metohia and many hundreds were
murdered. Violent efforts to remove all Serbs
from Kosovo and Metohia continue. And the KLA has
been empowered to attack Macedonia.

"The ICTY was created at the insistence of the
United States, which had stimulated violence and
secession in republics of Slovenia, Croatia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and attempted
division and conflict in the Serbian province of
Kosovo and Metohia and in three municipalities in
the south of Serbia and throughout the former six
Republics.

"The U.S. intends to persecute and demonize
leaders who together with the people by defending
freedom and by resisting aggression of NATO war
machinery, had defied its will, and at the same
time make the people seem savage. Madeleine
Albright, while U.S. Ambassador to the UN, was
the driving force for creation of the ICTY.

"The U.S. Ambassador to the Tribunal, David
Scheffer, concedes the ICTY is 'supported,
financed, staffed and provided information'
primarily by the United States."

SLOBODAN MILOSEVIC:

stvar.

Drugo, u vezi sa amicus curiae, ja sam
shvatio da je vase obrazlozenje kada ste
imenovali amicus curiae, da se time da
doprinos fer sudjenju ako se uopste u
ovakvom jednom ilegalnom postupku moze
govoriti o fer sudjenju. Mislim da ste time

optuzen. Optuzen sam zato sto sam na legalan
nacin i legitimnim sredstvima, na osnovu
prava na samoodbranu koje pripada svakoj
naciji branio svoj narod.

poplavom laznih optuznica. I ja i dalje

Beograda, clan amicus curiae, govori o
Jugoslavije.

tribunale dell'Aja. ''Ho dovuto difendere il

l'amministrazione Clinton ha collaborato
strettamente'', ha detto ancora l'ex-leader

MILOSEVIC: NON PARLA SU NUOVE ACCUSE
CRIMINI KOSOVO (2)

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 29 OTT - Milosevic ha
ignorato la domanda del giudice del Tpi
relativa alla sua dichiarazione di
colpevolezza o innocenza, dichiarando:
''Proprio quello che ho appena ascoltato
mostra che l'accusa e' completamente
falsa'', e ha insistito in particolare sul
fatto che le prove fornite non hanno
fondamento, e che il processo mostra tutta
la sua mancanza di imparzialita', dal
momento che ''sono state invertite le
parti''. Il presidente della Corte Richard
May ha immediatamente interrotto l'ex leader
serbo.
colpevole''. ''Lei avra' modo di esprimersi
in altre occasioni'' ha concluso il
presidente, aprendo la seconda parte
dell'udienza preliminare di oggi, dedicata
alla presentazione delle accuse per la
'pulizia etnica' perpetrata in Croazia tra
il 1991 e il 1992.(ANSA). XCR 29/10/2001

OTVORENO PISMO PREDSEDNIKU SAD DZORDZU BUSU

Postovani gospodine Bus,

malom, ponosnom i nezavisnom" zemljom i njenim
ratovima podneo ogromne zrtve.

separatizma punu deceniju, onakvog istog terorizma kakav
najvise Albanaca, svojih sugradjana, mnogo uglednih ljudi,
policajaca i svih koji ih u separatizmu nisu podrzavali.

Kada je krajem 1998. godine na Kosovu savladan
albanski terorizam i uspostavljen mir, Klintonova
kriminalcima, a zatim, povela rat protiv Jugoslavije krseci
Povelju UN, Statut NATO i Ustav SAD.
To dobro znaju sve sluzbe

A borca protiv terorizma, Slobodana Milosevica ste
poslali u Hag, umesto da mu dodelite sva priznanja.

Medjutim, istina se ne moze sakriti. Vreme ce je
izneti na svetlost dana, uprkos sve propagande i monopola
nad sredstvima informisanja.

sacuvala multietnicki karakter Savezna Republika
Jugoslavija. To je jedina drzava u kojoj nije bilo
diskriminacije ni Hrvata, ni Muslimana, ni Madjara, ni bilo
koje od 27 nacionalnosti koje u Saveznoj Republici
Jugoslaviji danas zive.

Albanaca, Srba, Turaka, Roma, Muslimana, Goranaca i
Egipcana.
formirala u albanskim selima lokalnu policiju sastavljenu

republika?

Istinski patriotizam i Vas polozaj Predsednika

AN OPEN LETTER TO U.S.A. PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

Dear Mr. Bush,

The crime perpetrated recently against America and the death of several
thousand innocent American citizens has confronted you, Mr. President,
with the necessity of facing the truth. At the time when the whole of
America and the world are wondering who is behind this crime, you must
be aware that the Clinton Administration instigated and supported
terrorist movements in many countries. Thus the previous Administration
bears primary responsibility for the consequences of that policy.

The Clinton Administration supported Albanian terrorists and separatists
in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. These terrorists are responsible
for numerous human victims. They destroyed enormous amounts of property.
They have been attempting, for decades now, and particularly during the
last two, to forcefully break off Kosovo, a part of Serbia, and
therefore of Yugoslavia, from the rest of the country. To that end the
Clinton Administration entered into an alliance with the terrorists and
proclaimed that their terrorism was a struggle of ethnic Albanians for
national and human rights.

Based on this dishonest justification, the Clinton Administration
perpetrated a crime against a small, proud and independent state and its
people, America's ally in both world wars. It inflicted on this innocent
people great human suffering with many victims and enormous destruction.

After the bombardment of Yugoslavia, the Clinton Administration
continued to seek vengeance against Yugoslav President Slobodan
Milosevic, without that minimum of chivalrous dignity which anyone
with self esteem would manifest towards a small but dignified opponent
whom he had never conquered.

For an entire decade President Milosevic defended Yugoslav citizens and
the state from Albanian terrorism and separatism, that is, from one and
the same terrorism which hit America on 11 September.
And what was the Clinton Administration's response? They accused
Milosevic of war crimes. In doing so the Administration kept secret from
the American and world public that Milosevic had defended all citizens
regardless of ethnicity - Serbs, Albanians, Slavic Muslims, Turks and
Jews and all others living in Kosovo.
The Administration also hid the fact that in 1998 the Albanian
terrorists were mainly killing ethnic Albanians, including many
distinguished individuals, policemen and whoever else did not support
their separatism.

When Albanian terrorism was suppressed in Kosovo in 1998, and peace
reestablished, the Clinton Administration entered into an alliance with
the drug Mafia and other criminals creating the terrorist so-called
Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and then started a war against Yugoslavia
in violation of the UN Charter, the NATO Charter and the US
Constitution. At the same time, Osama bin Laden was in Albania, engaged
in organizing the camps to train terrorists who were then sent into
Kosovo. This is well known to all competent intelligence services both
in America and Europe.

But, instead of honoring Slobodan Milosevic as a fighter against
terrorism, you had him sent to The Hague.

But truth can't be hidden. Time will bring it to the light of day
despite all the propaganda in the controlled media.

The past decade testifies to the fact that the only state created on the
ruins of former Yugoslavia, and which preserved its multi-ethnic
character, is the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It is the only state
with no discrimination against Croats, Muslims, Hungarians or any of the
other 27 nationalities living today within its borders.

Do you know that in 1998 and 1999, prior to deployment of UN forces to
the Province of Kosovo, the "Milosevic government" in that Province was
in fact composed of representatives of the nationalities living in
Kosovo - Albanians, Serbs, Turks, Roma, Muslims, Gorani and Egyptians.
And that this "Milosevic government" formed ethnic Albanian
police units in ethnic Albanian villages. Do you know that Serbs were
a minority in the Provincial government at that time?

Do you know that in the spring of 1992, on the very date of the
promulgation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, composed of Serbia
and Montenegro, its Parliament passed a Declaration stating
that it had no territorial aspirations regarding any of ex-Yugoslav
republics?

Do you know that during the war in Bosnia more than 70,000 (according to
UNHCR many more) Muslim refugees from Bosnia fled to the Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia, looking for safety and that they were given
shelter and that no one has ever threatened their security, or
discriminated against them?

Do you know that the Clinton administration, in alliance with the
Albanian drug Mafia, waged a private war against Yugoslavia because that
administration had been deeply corrupted?

Do you know of the genocide against the Serbian people?

Do you know that truth can't be hidden?

True patriotism and your position as President make it incumbent on you
to act for release of Slobodan Milosevic immediately. History would not
accept the excuse that you did not know or that you
were deceived.

> BELGRADE, Oct 28 (AFP) - An international group of intellectuals has
> appealed to US President George W. Bush to obtain the release of
Slobodan
> Milosevic, arguing the indicted ex-leader had defended Yugoslavia from
"the

> "True patriotism and your position as president make it incumbent on

> In its letter to Bush, the group of nine intellectuals charged that

sullo scempio compiuto in Kosovo e Metohija dai locali collaborazionisti
ne' in televisione.

'Pictures from an Exhibition: The Destruction of the Churches of Kosovo'

As you probably know, NATO leaders such as The Hague Tribunal's Carla
del Ponte expressed shock at the 'discovery' that there are thousands
of terrorists operating in the Balkans. But del Ponte and the others
know full well that NATO-sponsored terrorists have turned Kosovo into a
living hell.
Among other atrocities, they have destroyed 100 priceless Serbian
Orthodox churches in two years. NATO occupation forces don't deny these
crimes. They also don't do anything to stop them. And though documented
with pictures, the desecration has gone entirely unreported in the mass
media. Why?
